This week I was able to step back for 15 minutes and look at my life, to see how I see things. I realized that I see the world in a completely different way than anyone else. I see beauty in the chaos. It sure does take me a while sometimes but I see it eventually. I realize that I am totally different than any other person on the planet. I am the only Adele Schock that has blonde hair, blue eyes with freckles and glasses. I am the only Adele that is a die heart drummer. This is me. My favorite color is yellow. But I can't just say, "My favorite color is yellow." I end up with long paragraph of why my favorite color is yellow.
My favorite color is yellow because...when I see this color, I instantly think of Joy. I think of the Sun. I think of how the sun shines on these bitterly cold January days and it brings warmth. Nothing that the sun touches is dark. Once the sun touches it, it shares what the sun has offered. The sun shares its warmth, beauty and light that pierces through the darkness. The SON has given us, me, life. Yellow is light, life. Jesus put me on this earth to be different. I am not meant to fit in and I am so passionately excited about that.
I am who God has created me to be. I am beautifully and wonderfully made. I am so thankful for who God has made me to be. I hope and pray that you do too. I hope that you can be confident in being you. It is my hope that you know that you are loved and forever will be. So go, be the beautiful you God has created only you to be! :)
